[Part 1]Missing link

You've been back at Heroes inc. for two days since the battle with JAVMAT, it has been fairly uneventful (thankfully), though you wonder what might be the next mission you will be assigned.

As dawn rises today, you rise from your dormrooms as usual, and receive a message in your hyperlinks confirming that you have no mission yet again. One could start wondering what's going on within the top brass.

And so rise and shine you do, though you're not sure what there is to do, you could continue exploring the city, or you could talk to each other to figure things out.

Arc pulls out her hyperlink and invites everyone to a video chat.

Ty gets up and puts on his typical outfit. He wondered why he had twenty sets of the same outfit. He also wondered why no one ever brought it up. And who bought his clothes? As he pondered these questions, he made his way to the cafeteria. As he walked, he felt his Hyperlink buzzing. Pulling it out of his pocket, he saw it was Arc, inviting him to a video chat. As he was about to answer, he saw Arc in the cafeteria.
"Hey Arc. We all live in the same compound, we don't need to use fancy devices to talk."

"I wasn't sure if y'all were here, alright?"

She gestured for Ty to sit with her at the table. "I thought we all ought to talk about a few things..."

Jay hears the odd device make a noise, and fumbles around with it till the video pops up in front of him. He then acts casual and quickly just folds his arms.

"Uh...Sup?"

He calms down as he sees his companions in front of him.

For that matter, MM was already in the cafeteria still in his pajamaz. He sluggishly headed over to Arc and Ty with a plate of waffles.

"Yo... anyone else have this weird dream we were stuck in time fighting a strange creature that was like our group...all misshapen?"

"Yeah, okay." Ty said, sitting down across from Arc. "I wanna get some food first." Immediately after saying this, Ty shouted across the cafeteria to the servers, asking for a cinnamon bun, an orange juice, and a piece of Ham. When his food arrived, he began digging in.
"Alright, go." He said between mouthfuls.

Shocked, Arc turns around at Mm. "MnMs, you were here? Sorry dude. Also that wasn't a dream."

For all you know, phen is not answering, though his hyperlink seems to be receiving it.

Perhaps he's still asleep in his bedroom.

"Hey guys, Uh...Phen's not answering. I wanted to talk.."

She looks down at her pancakes, and takes a few bites in silence first. "Well uh, I guess we can all at least talk while eating breakfast without him first."

"Guys, after fighting that monster last time, and me seeing us in that future, kinda just causing havoc... I can't help but wonder if we're doing the right thing... I mean, we sorta just kill everything."

"Yeah, so?" Ty said, swallowing a mouthful of Ham. "Everything sorta wants to kill us. It's what you do. Things kill other things. What's the issue?"

"Yeah, as Ty said. Maybe I'm...forgetting something....as I often do...but most of what...or who we come up against seems to attempt to kill us first...or poses enough of a threat to kill others.... Then there's those times we've been deceived to kill. Such as...the king of Azgard.... when he was possessed. That's something I wish...we could have found another way to deal with. But at the time... options were short...."

Jay stays in silence for a second.

"I mean...Back when I was in the Possessors, I was used to taking on any competition in my way. But since I've come back to the group, decisions have seemed a little hasty. Not to say that we were wrong, but I feel like certain battles could have been avoided is all I meant...Wait, are you guys in the cafeteria?"

Jay launches himself over to the cafe, turning off his demon arms as he lands beside the group, taking a bite of Arc's pancakes.

"Go on."

Arc stares at Jay incredulously as he eats some of her pancakes. "You're fucking paying me back for that."

"No but why is everything after us? I mean I get it, we usually go along with things whatever big bad is out there we gotta get it right I mean...it was kinda our fault but..."

She takes a bite of her pancakes again "d'ya notice things never come out good? Like all we ever do is fuck things up more and create a bigger mess to clean up?"

"Yeah, but...Wait." Ty said, taking a drink of his juice. "Where's Vriz?"

"Better question. Where's Roy?"

"I think they said he was in the hospital." Ty said, taking a bite from his bun. "But I talked to Vriz the other day, and get this: If any of you guys remember back in the days before we came to Azgard. The Academy? Vriz says he's THAT Roy. Which makes me wonder, who the fuck is the Roy in the hospital?"

"Wait what how the fuck does that even happen? So we were with some kinda Roy-poster this whole time?" edging her plate away from Jay she eats some more. "How would we not notice something like that?"

Jay takes another bite of Arc's pancakes as Ty and MM talk, just deciding that he wasn't really understanding what was going on and it would be difficult to get back into the loop. While the serious thoughts have been pushing in his mind, he hates showing his more serious side to the group. Therefore...

"Hey, I'll be back. I feel a little overcharge of demonic energy, gotta let loose outside in the field. I'll keep my Hyperlink on to keep in the chat, alright?"

Trying to laugh around as he said that, Jay stands up, flicks his wrists to become half-demon, and pulses a magnetic field to launch himself in the air. He propels himself to the field, hiding his face which had, for the first time in awhile, had a grim look to it.

"Oh goodness...the academy. Wonder if we'll ever get back there.... as to the matter with Vriz and Roy.... perhaps the Roy we've been with has something to do with Time Rifts?"

"Wait, which Roy?" Ty said trying to work things out in his head. "Old Azgard Roy, or current day Roy, AKA Vriz?"

On the field, you already see a soldier practicing, he notices a superhuman in mid-air heading for the field (you), and waves at you for a moment, then returns to his sniping practice. It's probably a good thing you're well-known as a group when you stand out so much.

"Old Roy--not Vriz--What is he some kind of Quantum Anomaly?" Arc says. "Like he's an alter-Roy maybe?"

She takes the last bite of her pancake and starts on her milk tea. "I mean when I showed up, all I knew was you guys were around and I was in trouble, so I kinda just stuck with you guys but honestly I don't know what's going on."

"Well what if when we crossed over to Azgard something happened to the Roy we knew. Then perhaps...he changed his name or something. Meanwhile... maybe through some time rift...when we started at the Ashen Temple we joined some Roy who crossed from another timeline through a time rift?"

Jay, after letting off some steam, notices the soldier waving and waves back. Realizing he really doesn't know many of the soldiers or people in the place, he decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to see what was going on with this soldier. He jumps and hovers over close to the soldier and walks over.

"Hey, how's it going, man? Don't think we've officially met"
