Ashen Temple [part 1/Araphen]

Walking down the tunnel for a while, Araphen reaches what seems like a room and notices something moving in the corners, he chants a light to illuminate the room and sees a Skel-dit and Skel-Troop coming his way.

"uh oh" He says. Readying his tome and changing to a stance more fit for battle.

Out of nowhere THIS appears!!!

All other foes retreat in fear and the shadowy spirit prepares to attack!!

"Oh, crackers." Ari looks as he sees the shadowy monster. Before the shadowy monster can attack, Ari starts chanting a sphere of light which forms on the tip of the staff, and directs it towards the shadowy monster as a bolt of light.

Gaining the momentum, Ari tries to run around the shadowy creature and shoot another bolt at it's back.

Even though his strategy succeeded, Ari took a counterattack from the creature and backed away a bit. Holding his arm in pain, Ari decides to chant an easier to control sphere of light that bashes into the creature.

"Ow!" Araphen flinches, taking a strong slash from the creature, his right arm now bleeding.

"Guh, I've got to finish this thing quick!" In a tad bit of desperation, Ari cast a beam of light aimed straight and the foul creature.

Relieved, Araphen falls to his knee and pants from the pain in his right arm and now his right leg as well. Seeing the creature fade, he notices a red gem and what seems to be a piece of an artifact left from the dissapearing shadow fall on the ground and crawls to pick them up.

After catching his breath, he stands up and walks back to the entrance of the tunnel.
