Something Kinda Serious...

So I wanna let you all in on a little something that's been plaguing me the past few months.

My kidneys are, by all medical intents and purposes, failing.

Yeah, I dont know quite what caused this, but NEITHER of my kidneys are draining urine correctly, and it's causing them to shrink. Because of that, they are failing. They aren't stong. Even if this was corrected tomorrow, they will never regain their strength again, and I will need to live the rest of my life with bad kidneys, which is not good. At all.

Thats my little update for you guys. Shit aint looking good for Hiro...but I hope to get better.

Figured out of all the people on this planet I know...you guys I've known for one of the longest amounts of time. Eight years with some of you, that's serious shit. I just turned 18, after all.

Can't you ask for a donor?
I've no knowledge about the bureaucracy behind north american health care, but kidney transplantation is usually an option for patients that have diseased kidneys, so I just assume it could be an option for you. Kidney donation doesn't reduce life expectancy, so it shouldn't be impossible to find a donor. You'll need to take further medication and it'll probably cost quite a bit, though.

You'll need to take a lot of care about your health. It's not the end of the world, so I hope things improve for you.

U.S. Healthcare is a piece of shit. If you don't have insurance, you don't get help. I don't know what Hiro's money is like, but in general, it's not exactly a "Bam, new organ" process.
