[2.1] Arcaphen Duo

Arc and Araphen decide to team up. They accessed the data on their assigned demon in their hyperlinks and rush to the eastern side of the city. The large demon towered over the buildings, their mission was visible from a mile away.

As Arc cuts a gash on the demon's exterior and Phen's arrow strikes him, the demon roars in a rage and attacks.

The demon slams one of it's huge arms at Arc as she leaps back, and strikes her mid-air. She's thrown up against the wall of one building.

"Ack!"

She falls to the ground and rolls to her feet, charging back at the demon. "Right back atcha big boy!"

"Arc, are you-" But it didn't take long until Arc recovered from the attack, so Phen returned to his position and aimed at the demon again.

As the beam of energy flies past him, the demon shakes himself in hopes of creating some distance between himself and the human that just charged, and then lunges with a swing from his right frontal limb at one of the hunters.

The demon brushes Phen aside, and knocks him to the ground. Arc pauses just a fraction of a second to be sure Phen is alright, thankfully he doesn't seem too hurt.

She turns her attention back at the demon and sees him stepping back. "Oh no you don't--!" she calls and leaps right at his face for another strike.

Arc lands a hit but only scrapes at the giant's face. Very annoyed, the creature thrashes about, sending Arc flying.

"Arc, watch out, we don't know what it might end up doing." Phen turned and tried to channel his magic again, to heal his partner. This era was cold and defiled and magic wasn't easy to call for, he'd need to take an alternative soon.

As Arc hit the ground, she felt a breath of fresh air. Suddenly she felt better, some of the pain had gone.

"Thanks babe" she says winking at Phen, and charges back at the demon. "Yaaaah!"

"Alright." Phen sighed a bit relieved that Arc felt better. It at least meant his magic still worked, barely.

The monster roared. If it were to speak in the human language, it'd likely translate to something like: "I'm tired of your bullshit, humans." .

The monster suddenly lifted his body, standing bipedal for a moment, until his front limbs came crashing down on the ground. The impact shook the ruined city, and definitely the hunters.
